Overview

Ayaya Marketing and Communications worked with the Department of Health on a territory-wide colorectal cancer awareness campaign. We created a full suite of campaign materials, from design and layout to print and promotional pieces, including posters, brochures, fact sheets, pop-up banners, and branded promotional items. The goal was simple: make important health information clear, approachable, and easy to share in communities across Nunavut.

Challenge: Talking about colorectal cancer isn’t always easy. The campaign needed to break down a sensitive topic in a way that felt respectful, easy to understand, and relevant for people across many communities. Materials also had to work in a wide range of settings, from health centres to community events, while staying visually consistent.

Outcome: The final campaign was clear, friendly, and easy to use. Community Health Representatives (CHRs) had practical tools they could rely on that were straightforward and engaging. Overall, the campaign helped open up conversations around colorectal cancer awareness, screening, and prevention—supporting healthier communities across Nunavut.
