Challenge: Providing quality logistical expertise, confidential recording and storing systems, covering large geographical areas, against a very short timeline. Hiring and managing deputy returning officers and polling clerks in every Nunavut community. Managing nominations. Getting out the vote through media and community action. Ensuring objectivity, fairness and uniform application of the rules. Recruiting and managing large teams, including prominent Inuit leaders acting as chief returning officers, and election staff in every community. And being flexible when blizzards hit on elections day!

Updating voters' lists, promoting through social media and posters. Social media includes video of the chief returning officer providing instructions in Inuktitut on how to vote in your community.
